Annette Krebs was a guitar and composition student in Frankfurt before moving to Berlin to embark on the minimalist deconstruction of her instrument. Both in her solo work and collaborations - mostly duos - Krebs explores a music of deprivation and hidden texture, her sparse (and I mean sparse!) pieces encourage the listener to hold her work close to their ear (i.e. turn it up).
Krebs has collaborated with Alessandro Bosetti, with whom she shares an interest in ambience-as-setting-as-musical-material. Other notable pairings have included Bhob Rainey, Natasha Anderson and Toshimaru Nakamura.
Rhodri Davies is an extremely versatile contemporary harpist based in London. Through a variety of extended techniques such as bowing, preparations and micro-tuning, Davies' harp improvisation has helped to develop a contemporary voice for the instrument.
Known primarily as an ensemble player, Davies has performed and recorded with John Butcher, Derek Bailey, Evan Parker and Mark Wastell. He tours internationally, performing scored music as well as improvising. Davies is also an active composer, writing music for solo harp and small ensembles.
