Esperi is the project of Chris Lee-Marr, sometimes performing solo with guitar, an array of percussion and loop pedals or accompanied by his wife (Cat Lee-Marr) on the harp and sometimes with a full band line up which is comprised of a talented group of musicians (Jon Adam , Eilidh Glynn Craig Arnott ) on a dynamic combination of instruments including guitar, bells, harp, drums, bass, cello, violin, melodica, xylophone, field recordings and electronics.
Esperi are known for their soft, plaintive melodies, storytelling songs and their ability to adapt to their environment to create an atmosphere that works best with their surroundings. Predominantly songs of life and love, Chris' lyrics are often metaphorical and transcend from a deep core of ethics, they tend to be plaintive yet optimistic. Esperi currently have an ep out called 21:21 and are in the process of making their first album.
