Combining wickedly satirical lyrics with an irresistible party vibe, this'll take you back to mid-July with only a tinge of sangria-soaked regret.

Foxgang Leith Walk Track Art 0

Leith Walk

Appears on multiple bundles

Studio version of another rabble-rouser from a live set that is jam-packed with melodically strong, danceable, thoughtful and politically active songs. P.S. anyone from Leith recognise the guy on the track art? [drawn by Ryan from the band]

Hidden Door B&W 2

A Lot More Goes On (In A Year)

Ten Tracks' fourth exclusive download from Foxgang contains one of the site's outstanding male vocal performances, and a melody and topic to match.

Foxgang Profile

Foxgang's music is ravaged, cosmic rock 'n' roll, characterised by frontman Ryan Denton's deft lyrics and soulful vocals. FG walked off their last Polish stage with label offers and national TV invites having played with Tricky and The Cure brass man Tony Wrafter. Despite building a club-wrecking following, in autumn 2007 it was most definitely time to take the Brit-stabbing words and sounds to the UK and seek a more relevant exposure.

Recently Foxgang have received airplay from Jim Gellatly on XFM, BBC 6 Music, packed out Edinburgh's Bongo Club and London’s Dublin Castle. Look out for shows in Glasgow's Pivo Pivo and Alan McGee’s Death Disco in London as Foxgang continue to blow audiences away with their stunning live performances. Foxgang’s white trainers only touch the stage half the time.

I agree with Mr D and I think I might be slightly less biased than him!

Ryan, is White English a pensive look back to squeeze box era of your New Years Eve parties?

I like to think it is. I want to believe it is.

Foxgang are such an awesome group to listen to. They are all very talented musicians. And whenever a trumpet is thrown into a rock band, I'm sold. I have been closely following them (from rather far away) for a few years now. I can sing along with all their songs. That really says something. It's one thing to hear a song from a relatively unknown band and say, "Oh, yeah, that's cool" or even to know one or two songs by heart. But to keep listening to a band's complete library over and over until you've got all the vocal intricacies (let's face it: Ryan's got a very intricate voice) of every song memorized, that's when you know the band is special. I've never seen them live. I know that's where their purest appeal lies, but I've never even been out of the US, so it's not for lack of want. Foxgang, keep making music! You've got some pretty hardcore fans.

I saw you guys playing a brilliant set at the Forest Cafe when I was in Edinburgh last Friday. It was wee bit shambolic but upbeat and magical. Very unique playing from the whole band. The singer has a unique voice and the drummer was crazy. I thought he said you were from Glasgow but this page says Edinburgh and Krakow?
