Epicentre Appears on The Police Box 6 » This tune is almost euphorically re-assuring with a bass-synth that rivals, note for note, the warmth and melodic authority of In Rainbows' most comparable bassline... and then the sample kicks it into another league. Log in to download tracks |

Gimesum Gyp Appears on Hidden Door (Police Box 13) » Here Freemoore serves up another visionary amalgam of instruments not traditionally associated with electronic music, providing an unexpected relationship that surpasses the impact of more endoctrinated compositions. Log in to download tracks |
Freemoore's musical history is convoluted and uncertain. Formerly of Edinburgh genre-benders The Ruffness, he trumpeted for the great comedians Orkestra Del Sol for as long as his shirts could stand it and spent 10 years leading or following drum crews in Beltane Fire Festival. Chronically unable to stick to one instrument, he now plays trumpet, guitar, double bass, synths, samples, and sings, but cannot play poker due to his face. He has performed and recorded with the Dresden Dolls' Amanda Palmer, blowing his horn all over her latest single 'Leeds United', and fully supports the rebellyon. On one stage or another (or just going through one) since the age of six, Freemoore never learned to write a bio so he got other people to do it for him. They said these things:
"An immensely talented multi-instrumentalist, great lyricist, heart-rending and original music."
"Freemoore is an Edinburgh based producer creating epically fragile soundscapes. A master live, he has also composed score for the award winning Scottish road movie 'The Inheritance'. I have worked on two films with Freemoore and I can say without doubt he is one of the most talented artists I have ever encountered. Instinctively his work has an incredible cinematic quality. He combines beats and emotion in perfect harmony. His music is anthemic, gorgeous, humane, beautiful and always shot through with style. Music we should live our lives to."
"Andy Moore aligns with a tradition of story tellers through sound and song which is centuries old, weaving tales of beauty, life, love and loss. The soundscape seizes the listener; simple lines, unexpected harmonies that comfort you as they resolve, delivered over a startling range from this gentle bear of a man."
"Mixing up genres and instruments and creating blissful music that is progressive and unconventional while being a joy to listen to."
"Andy is a rare thing in the music scene; timeless, enjoyable, unique and original but also completely accessible. When he plays you know you're hearing something special, and the emotion he brings to his music is pure, honest and completely welcoming...the only thing you'll want to do is listen and feel yourself getting swept away."
