BLAMMO! Twisting and turning like a shaolin monk Super Adventure Club throw melodies and ideas at their audience like deadly throwing stars, matching each digression with zen-like focus on memorable hooks. ZING! Direct comparisons are difficult but the enlightened student may detect the dry wit of Frank Zappa and the frequency-based terrorism of Sonic Youth in their hybrid style.
Fresh album Chalk Horror is an accomplished debut of charmingly accessible math-pop that provides observations on life's little anomalies, while combining the work ethic and 'you-can-do-it' attitude of 80's 'DC punk with the intrepid spirit of prog-rock. The band are regularly joined onstage by the horse-headed Johny B (this is not a joke - the man really has a horse's head), whose help has ensured that a clutch of well received shows have garnered a cult following and the favour of the Scottish press. A recent invite to tour France this autumn has hinted at a fledgling following in Europe.
By day they are Bruce, Mandy and Neil. By night they are the deadly spazz-jazz ninjas known as Super Adventure Club!
