The Mighty Roars met in Berlin in early 2004 with a mutual desire to surf the London new wave with style....
Signed to "Little Teddy" records of Munich in February 2005 they released their debut EP "Take a Bite of Peach" to critical acclaim. Although not officially released in the UK, 100 copies on sale or return sold out thanks to great reviews from Rough Trade shops and Artrocker.
After a hectic summer of gigging around the UK, including opening this year's Isle of Wight Festival, the band were approached by One Little Indian records after a gig in Camden - they signed in November. Lara and The Mighty Roars will soon be appearing in the forthcoming BBC4 documentary - Far Out Females. The debut album will be released this year.
Whoops! Looks like this one is tagged wrong as well. It should be The Mighty Roars.
