The Paranoid Monkeys Profile

The Paranoid Monkeys are a Scottish band hailing from Fife. The current line-up have been together since 2005. They are Robert Davidson (guitar and lead vocals), David McNeill (lead guitar), Gus Black (bass), David Jackson (guitar and synth), and Jamie Hendry (drums). Davidson and McNeill are the main writers for the band.

The 'Monkeys have always been primarily about the music, but still have a determination to go on to bigger and better things. They have always been experimental, tending to lean away from the mainstream trends and concentrating on their own sound.

'One of the most exciting and original new bands in Scotland, The Paranoid Monkeys harness all the rage, fear and confusion of the modern age and distil it into devastatingly visceral rock music. They remind us all at once of Mogwai, Radiohead and a little bit of early 80s Pink Floyd, but basically they have their own distinct sound.
