Evol at The Third Door

Once Upon A Time (from 1991 - January 2012) EVOL, Edinburgh's favourite indie club night, came to us from the depths of the Liquid Rooms.  A JD and coke was about £9, but nobody cared because they were looking forward to a night of frenzied elbow dancing amidst the harshest, tastiest beats around.

The whole ethos of the night was that Edinburgh's raggle taggle selection of folk who like music, singing/dancing like an idiot and generally having a good time would have somewhere to listen to a mixture of indie, alternative cuts, retro classics, pop and new found sounds.

Fast forward to the present day and EVOL is still going strong, with the added excitement that they have now upped sticks to our very own Third Door.  To say we're excited by this development would be an understatement but we'll say it anyway - WE'RE VERY EXCITED BY THIS DEVELOPMENT.

Evol debuted at The Third door in a fanfare of £2 drinks and sweet sweet dance moves at the beginning of March, but if you missed out worry not - they're back again TONIGHT (Friday 13) from 11pm - 3am.  It's the most exciting thing since Qabalala.

To keep up to date with future wheelings and dealings, follow EVOL on Twitter @evolnation and like their facebook page.

And while you're there, you can follow us on Twitter @tentracks and like us on facebook at Ten Tracks and The Third Door.

While your checking out the music at Evol, sitting down with your drinks, check out the behind the scenes of all things music with the book Hit Click, an insider's guide into the Music Industry.
